Winner!

Back in August, I had blogged about our Cape Cod vacation. I'd gone on a sunset cruise with my parents and M. The evening was perfect, the water like glass and I was enjoying the time I was spending with Mom and Dad. The other day I recieved an email stating that my photo was chosen as a winner of their summer photo contest and that a professional photographer loved the composition and colors I'd captured. I've won a gift certificate to my favorite Cape Cod restaurant of my choice...so of course I picked Barbie Ann's! I've loved this place for years. I have many memories of going to Barbie Ann's with my dad for lunch and later when they moved to their current location it became a favorite of Tom's too. We would drive down Cape just to go to dinner there. Of course, last night I called my Dad to wish him a happy birthday (and sent a greeting to my sister Diane who shares the same date with my dad) and told him of the photo. He had seen it online and was all for going for a meal when I get the certificate!

A bone to pick

Or maybe just one to repair.....I've been having some skeletal issues...particularly in my lower back. Seems I have bulging disks in my lumbar spine and I've been going to Phyiscal Terrorism..err Therapy... for it. I've been in a lot of pain so sitting at my computer has not been an option for more time than it takes to check email. My tutoring students are enjoying going for walks down the hall or out in the yard and being quizzed orally for their spelling!

Today is a good day though and I am physically feeling almost back to normal.
So lets catch up a bit...
I finished and passed over my portfolio box for work...never so glad as to get rid of that thing! The preschool is undergoing reaccredidation and since I was preschool last year, I was responsible for this year's teacher's box... I know, sounds a bit unfair doesn't it!?!

I'm back on Fat Flush after gaining a considerable amount back and going up sizes... I miss the excitement of dressing up and looking good in the skinner sizes! So I'm back to taking care of me and what I put in my mouth.

Sam turned 15 on the 10th. He keeps reminding me that in 1 year he can learn how to drive...lord help and preserve me!
