Happy Thanksgiving

This year, I am thankful for many things.
In these unstable economic times,
I am thankful for my jobs (teaching and tutoring)
a roof over my head
and the ability to pay my mortgage
and my bills
sometimes just barely but they get paid.
I am thankful for my family
who wrap me up in their love and support
who are there when I need them

I am thankful
to carry with me the love
of wonderful man who was
taken from this world much to soon
I am thankful for my children
who, while keeping me on my toes,
make me smile and proud
each and every day.
I am thankful
to live in a country
where there are abundant choices
in everyday to where you want to live,
work and pray.
For small pleasures
like a hot mug of tea on a cold day
a long hot shower
soft sheets and blankets
a good book
For all these and more... I am thankfu
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours

Yes We Can!

I've been MIA. All I've had to talk about was back pain....but I've finally made it in to see the doctor and after a week on prednisone, I'm happy to report I am pain free :) I await a call for an appt. to the pain clinic at which I will recieve cortisone shots to the spine...ewwwww not fun!!

The excitement in this household this past week was the election of Barack Obama. Yes, we are Obama supporters. I can't tell you how proud I was to be an American that night. To know that the majority is ready for change. It won't be easy, and it won't be a quick changing or a quick fix but I do believe the best candidate of the two won the election. There is a wonderful site called 52 to 48/48 to 52... the sentiments expressed are ones we need to embrace as a unifed country red/blue= fully American! http://www.zefrank.com/zesblog/archives/2008/11/52to48.html take a look.
